InstEvent, Inc. d/b/a VenueBook is the sole owner of the information collected on this Web site. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. VenueBook collects information from its users at several different points on VenueBook.com (the "Website").
Registration and Personal Information:
When browsing the Website, you are not required to provide any personal information. To start the reservation process, a user must complete a registration form. During registration, a user is required to give their contact information (name and e-mail address) and to create a user name and password and provide their date of birth. VenueBook does not require that the user provide additional demographic information. As an VenueBook member you can choose to complete your online profile to assist you in the booking process.
We do not knowingly permit the Website to be used by any person under the age of 21 and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from persons under the age of 21.
Suppliers
When you start a bid request, make a reservation or place an order using VenueBook, your name, your email address and the details regarding your request are provided to the Supplier or person or entity responsible for managing reservations or orders for that Supplier. Additionally, any other special requests or messages will be provided to that Supplier.
The Suppliers within VenueBook’s network are separate businesses from VenueBook. While VenueBook encourages them to comply with data protection requirements, VenueBook will not be responsible if these Suppliers or the persons or entities responsible for or working on behalf of them fail to comply with respect to your information. Any complaints or inquiries regarding use of your information by a Supplier listed on VenueBook should be addressed directly to the Supplier in question.
Making a Reservation
In order to make a reservation we will ask you for personal information such as credit card number, expiration date, and address to complete your reservation.
Special Offers
We send all new users a welcoming email to verify password and username. Established users will receive information on new venues or service providers or offers relating to their profile. We present the option for you to not receive these types of communications. Please see our E-mail Policy below for more information.
Third Parties Providing Statistical Analysis
We use non-personally identifiable information in aggregate form to build higher quality, more useful online services by performing statistical analyses of the collective characteristics and behavior of our customers and visitors, and by measuring demographics and interests regarding specific areas of the Site, including data regarding Supplier preferences, availability and user ratings and satisfaction. On occasion we will release anonymous statistical and demographic information on our users to Suppliers, advertisers, affiliates and other current and potential business partners.
